Final board
How to play
2-cost reroll Stay at level 6 and slow roll above 50 gold for 3-star 2-costs before leveling further.
Levelling
- 42-3
- 53-1
- 63-2Slow roll 50+
- 74-7
- 85-7
- 96-5
Play it when
- You hit early
Caitlyn pairs and have attack-speed components.
Juggernauts such as
Rakan,
Vi or
Scuttlecrab show up in your early shops.- Few players around you are rerolling 2-costs.
Game plan
- 2
Stage 2
Play your strongest early board and slam
Guinsoo's Rageblade or another attack-speed item for
Caitlyn to win streak. If her final items aren't available yet,
Hextech Gunblade or
Giant Slayer are fine early slams. Take Recurve Bows from the carousel. Level 4 at 2-3. - 3
Stage 3
Level 5 at 3-1 and 6 at 3-2, then roll for 4
Juggernaut and 2
Hunter. The goal is
Caitlyn 2-star plus an upgraded 2-cost Juggernaut; after that, rebuild gold and slow roll above 50 for 3-stars. If you are bleeding HP, roll deeper – down to around 30 gold. - 4
Stage 4
Try to finish 3-star
Caitlyn and
Scuttlecrab by the middle of stage 4, then stop rolling and level: 7 around 4-7.
Sejuani 3-star is a bonus – don't delay levels just to find her. - 5
Why it works
Juggernaut at 4 gives your whole team Durability and a much bigger share to
Rakan,
Sejuani,
Vi and
Scuttlecrab, so the front four soak up a lot of damage while
Caitlyn shoots from the corner. Caitlyn,
Tristana and
Sivir activate 3
Hunter: bonus Attack Damage, plus 10% Damage Amp once a Hunter has kept the same target for 3 seconds. That suits Caitlyn, whose every third attack is replaced by a Headshot –
Guinsoo's Rageblade and
Kraken's Fury make those attacks come faster, and
Hextech Gunblade keeps her alive. Vi and Sivir add 2
Primal for a blessing of your choice, and Rakan with Tristana activate
Fae: Pixies give them extra AD and AP and heal them once they drop below half Health.
When to pivot
Your main tank is whichever unit reaches 3 stars first –
Sejuani 3-star can take
Scuttlecrab's spot and items.
Elise lets you build the frontline around
Vanguard instead of
Juggernaut. In the late game,
Amumu and
Maokai strengthen the front line, while
Ashe pushes the
Hunter count higher. In the mid game,
Caitlyn,
Camille and Elise can also run
Coven and cash out its Essence for rewards.
Flex options
Tips
Scuttlecrab stands alone in the front row;
Sejuani,
Rakan and
Vi go one row behind, and
Caitlyn,
Sivir and
Tristana fill the back-right corner.
Caitlyn:
Guinsoo's Rageblade,
Kraken's Fury and
Hextech Gunblade. A Radiant Guinsoo's Rageblade lifts the whole comp noticeably, so Radiant Relics is a great augment here.
Scuttlecrab takes
Gargoyle Stoneplate,
Spirit Visage and
Warmog's Armor.
Sivir gets the leftover AD and utility items –
Infinity Edge and
Last Whisper, with
Red Buff or
Morellonomicon as the third.- Hold every
Caitlyn and
Scuttlecrab copy from stage 2 on – they are the two 3-stars the comp is built on.
