Game plan

  1. 2

    Stage 2

Play for a win streak with an early 3 Blossom (Karma, Yorick, Yunara) and Rakan in front. Karma holds Ahri's AP items for now, and tank items go on Yorick or any 2-star frontliner. Buy Wisps that give gold or XP. Level 4 at 2-1 and 5 at 2-5.

  2. 3

    Stage 3

Level 6 at 3-2. Add more Blossom or Spellweaver units and build the front from whatever you hit – Juggernauts, Defenders or Vanguards. Don't chase 5 Blossom; in this comp it rarely pays off. Level 7 at 4-1.

  3. 4

    Stage 4

Level 8 at 4-2 and roll for Ahri, Morgana, Sentinel and Sett. Put every 4-cost from the final board on the field as soon as you find it, and move the items from Karma to Ahri once she arrives.

  4. 5

    Stage 5

When the board is stable, go 9 around 5-5 for Lux. Late game, Ashe and Alune can replace Karma, and Hecarim can take Taric's slot.

Why it works

Ahri's Spirit Bomb lands where the most enemies stand within 4 hexes and hits everything in a 3-hex radius, with damage dropping the further a target is from the centre, so she punishes clumped boards. Morgana does the setup: she blasts 3 nearby enemies, curses them so they take extra damage, and leaves a withering zone under them, while her passive Omnivamp keeps her alive in the middle of the board. She is the utility holder rather than the main damage – Void Staff and Morellonomicon make every enemy in her zone easier for Ahri to finish. 3 Invoker (Morgana, Sentinel, Pebbles) gives the team 1 Mana Regen and Invokers 4, so both Ahri and Morgana cast more often. 3 Blossom (Ahri, Sett, Karma) upgrades your Wisps after combat and gives Blossom champions AD, AP and 10% max Health, and Sentinel, Krug and Pebbles reach 3 Riftbeast for the Alpha Mark. Spellweaver, Brawler and Vanguard round out the board at their first breakpoint.

When to pivot

Without Morgana and the Invokers, the same Ahri and Sett core turns into Spellweaver Ahri & Zyra in stage 4. Elise, Cassiopeia and Diana are flexible substitutes if you miss parts of the board. An Invoker Emblem on Ahri gets you to 4 Invokers – then you can swap Spear of Shojin for a pure damage item.
